About Eno's Pond County Park
Eno's Pond County Park is a 28-acre Ocean County park on East Lacey Road. It opened in the autumn of 1998, but Eno's Pond and the land around it have a long and colorful history dating to the Colonial period. The pond was once a source of ice for a hotel that stood on the site.
Today the observation decks overlook Eno's Pond and make a perfect vantage point for viewing the pond's residents and visitors. Nature trails wind through the conservation area, and the park is adjacent to part of the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge Lacey Extension; the county and the refuge have been working to develop a trail system between the two properties.
For families there are open playing fields, volleyball, picnic areas with grills, restrooms and an all-inclusive playground, built with a state Jake's Law grant so kids of all abilities can play together. The park is handicapped accessible.

The park opens at 7 AM. Closing time moves with the daylight, from 5 PM in early January and again from early November, up to 8 PM from mid-April through late August. Ocean County posts the full list of closing dates on the park page.
