About Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm
Anne Ellen is a family-run Christmas tree farm in Manalapan, and the cut-your-own fields are the heart of it. About 50,000 trees are in the ground. The varieties are mixed through the fields rather than planted one kind to a field, so you walk around until you find the one: blue spruce, Norway spruce, white pine, Canaan fir or Douglas fir. Saws are provided, or bring your own. Cut it, carry it to one of the main roads, and the farm team picks it up and brings it back to the main area. You pay at the Red Barn, field trees are priced by the foot, and they bale it for the ride home.
If you would rather skip the saw, pre-cut trees are brought in fresh from growers around the country and sit on racks under lights. They include Fraser, balsam, Douglas, noble and Nordmann firs and blue spruce, kinds that do not grow in New Jersey, and they are available all day, even after the fields close.
There is plenty else to do. Three Christmas shops (the Red Barn, the Ornament Shop and the Donut Shop), farm animals to feed, vintage tractors and a red truck that make good photo spots, Santa on weekends, and train rides around the farm. After dark on select nights, The Village at Anne Ellen opens: a hayride through the tree fields drops you at a walk-through Christmas light attraction. Fresh wreaths, grave blankets, swags and roping are made by hand at the farm all season.

Company Details
Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm is family owned and run by the Sangillo family, and the farm's site lists Daum Road Associates LLC as the owner. Wholesale pricing is offered on wreaths and grave blankets.
A Brief History
The farm says Christmas trees have been grown on this property for about 80 years, which is why some of the trees here get so big. About 25 years ago the Sangillo family bought the tree farm, and it is still family owned and run. Over the years it grew from a traditional tree farm into the shops, rides and traditions families come back for each Christmas season.
The Village started in 2021, when Jack Sangillo, then 21, walked out to an unused, swampy corner of the farm with a paper plate and began mapping out a night-time Christmas attraction. It has added buildings and scenes every year since.
Things to See & Do
By day: cut your own tree in the fields, or pick a pre-cut one. Visit the three shops, where the Ornament Shop carries traditional, personalized and funny ornaments plus a Made in America section, and the Red Barn has Christmas and home decor, gifts, outdoor pieces and greenery. Feed the farm animals, photograph the vintage tractors, firetrucks, painted scenes and the red truck, and meet Santa on weekends. New for 2026 are train rides around the farm, a Build-Your-Bear Workshop inside the shops, a s'mores station and a coffee trailer on the patio by the shops.
By night: The Village at Anne Ellen. Check in at the ticket booth, ride the hayride through the fields, then walk a winding path past animated displays, interactive scenes, life-sized houses and little shops. Santa is at Santa's House every night through Christmas Eve. Inside you will also find the Village Gift Shops and an extra-cost Shooting Range. Santa's 4D Sleigh Ride, a new add-on with motion seats, wind, snow and sleigh bells, is bought on site.
Special / Seasonal Events
Santa visits the farm on Black Friday (Nov 27) and on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec 20, 9 AM to 4 PM. Visiting is free, and a professional photographer is there if you want a photo, for a fee. At night Santa is at The Village every night through Christmas Eve, with professional photos to buy.
Train rides run Fridays to Sundays, Nov 20 to Dec 20, 9 AM to 3:30 PM. The s'mores station and coffee trailer are open weekends and Village nights.
Tips and Tricks
Weekends are the busiest, and the farm suggests any weekend after Thanksgiving weekend for cutting a tree. You can tag a tree ahead of time for free, no reservation needed, but a tag does not hold the tree: another customer can remove the tag or cut it. Leashed dogs are welcome on the farm, but not in The Village. Dress warm for The Village.
To care for a cut tree, saw a 1 to 2 inch slice off the bottom, put it in water right away, keep it away from heat and never let the stand run dry. The farm says a cut tree lasts about 2 to 3 weeks.
Picnics / Lunches / Eating
The Donut Shop sells fresh donuts, candy, sweets and baked goods from Wemrock Orchards, delivered daily. A coffee trailer and s'mores station are on the patio by the shops on weekends and Village nights, Nov 6 to Dec 31, and food trucks are on the farm Fridays to Sundays, 9 AM to 5 PM, from Black Friday to Dec 20. In The Village you can get red velvet funnel cakes and gourmet hot chocolate.
Admission & Guidelines
No ticket or reservation is needed for the farm or the shops. Field trees are priced by the foot and paid for at the Red Barn; the farm has not posted 2026 tree prices yet. Pre-cut trees are priced per tree, depending on height, variety and quality. The shops take cash and cards, and there is an ATM on site.
The Village is ticketed, online only with a card, none at the door. Entry is at your scheduled time, and the farm lets you reschedule in your customer portal up to 6 hours before, for a fee. The Village Greene is $5 more per ticket. Santa's 4D Sleigh Ride is bought on site.
