About Sayreville Kennedy Park
Kennedy Park is a Sayreville town park on Washington Road, in the Parlin section. An 18 acre pond sits at its center, with a walking path that loops around it and crosses the water on small bridges. It is an easy, flat walk or jog, and turtles, ducks, geese and other birds are easy to spot from the path.
Playgrounds sit near the path, so small kids can alternate between walking and playing. The park also has tennis courts, basketball, a skate park and a boat launch, and the pond is open for fishing. Only boats with electric motors are allowed on the water.
The Sayreville Recreation Department runs the park. Its Recreation Building hosts the Little Kids Playtime program, and the borough holds a fishing derby for ages 3 to 14 at the pond, rain or shine.
