About Derwood Farm

Derwood Farm lies along the South Branch of the Raritan River in Hillsborough, New Jersey. Mark and Nancy Kirby founded the farm in 1985 which includes approximately 400 acres. Principal crops include soybeans, corn, wheat and sunflowers. Derwood Farm also raises livestock and produces forage for horses and grain for feed mills. Mark is the current chair of the Somerset County Agricultural Development Board and has served as the Regional Soil Conservation District Supervisor for the past 10 years.
