About Norz Hill Farm & Market

Norz Hill Farm & Market is a family farm on South Branch Road in Hillsborough, run today by the fourth and fifth generations of the family and known for its sweet corn and tomatoes. In the fall it opens for Fall Harvest Days. One ticket gets you into a 7.5 acre corn maze commemorating the 250th anniversary, a kids' bale maze, and a hayride that stops to visit the farm animals and then carries on to the pumpkin patch, where you pick your own pumpkin and gourd.

After dark on fall weekends the same farm turns into Scare Farm, with two haunted hayrides and two haunted walking trails.

The market sells beef, pork, lamb and goat from the farm's own animals, along with eggs from its chickens, and at certain times of year chicken and turkey. On fall weekends the feed bin is open and serving burgers, hot dogs, sausages and more.

Special / Seasonal Events

Scare Farm is the farm's after-dark Halloween event. For 2026 it runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from September 25 through November 1, weather permitting. One ticket covers four attractions: two haunted hayrides, Madderbaby Lane, which rolls through a cornfield, and The Slayride, and two haunted walking trails, Atrum Manor and Chaotica. A VIP speed pass lets you skip the line.

How scary is it? The farm publishes no age guidance and no minimum age. Its own description promises heart-pounding thrills and screams of terror, creatures lurking in the dark on the hayride, bloodthirsty creatures on The Slayride, and a psychological trail in Chaotica. It does not say whether the actors touch guests. Treat it as a full-strength haunt rather than a gentle one, and call the farm at 908-371-2697 before bringing young children.

The daytime Fall Harvest Days are the family version: for 2026 they started September 12 and run through November 1.

Tips and Tricks

The last hayride leaves at 5 PM, so plan to arrive well before then to get the whole loop of animals, pumpkin patch and maze. For Scare Farm, the farm posts weather updates on its Scare Farm Instagram page after 5 PM.

Admission & Guidelines

Fall Harvest Days tickets are bought at the farm. For 2026 they are $15 per person on weekdays and $18 per person on weekends, the cash price, with a processing fee added on credit card purchases. The ticket covers access to the animals at the market, the kids' bale maze, the 7.5 acre corn maze, and the hayride to see the animals and then the pumpkin patch.

Scare Farm tickets are sold ahead online through the farm's ticket page, and online ticket holders enter first. Limited walk-up tickets go on sale every 15 minutes starting at 7:15 PM. There are no refunds, but the farm refunds tickets if it closes the attractions.

Hours / Season of Operation

Fall Harvest Days run on weekends from mid-September through the end of October, with weekdays added in late September. For 2026 they run through November 1. Weekends are 10 AM to 6 PM, and weekdays are noon to 6 PM. The last hayride or wagon leaves at 5 PM every day.

Scare Farm runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from late September to the start of November, weather permitting. The ticket booth stays open until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and until 9 PM on Sundays, and you must be there before it closes.

The farm market is open daily, weekdays from noon and weekends from 10 AM.
