Tips and Tricks

Cabins cannot be booked online. Call the campground office on 732-462-7286 after midday.

Twelve of the 64 sites are held back as first come, first served, so a walk-in on the day is realistic midweek even when the reservable sites are gone.

Ticks are active here year round, with the highest risk between April and July. Check yourself and the dog.

Admission & Guidelines

Under the fee schedule adopted for 2026, a tent, trailer or RV site is $45 a night. A cabin is $85 a night on a two night minimum, $275 Monday to Thursday, or $430 for a week. Group camping areas at Nomoco run $93 to $185 a night.

Booking online adds a $3.25 reservation fee. Firewood is $12 a bundle, bagged ice $3 and the laundry $3. The dump station is free to registered campers and $25 to everyone else.

Hours / Season of Operation

The campground is open April 1 to November 15. The park around it is open all year.

Reservations for a given year open on January 1 and are taken for that calendar year only. Weekends need a two night minimum and holiday weekends three; Sunday to Thursday can be booked for a single night. Walk-ins on the day of stay have no minimum. You must be 21 to rent a site, and cabins are booked by phone rather than online.

Water service to the sites runs roughly April 15 to November 15. Weekend and holiday activities are run on site from May through September. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Facilities

Sixty-four wooded campsites, all pull-through, with 20 and 30 amp electric service, water service, fire rings for charcoal and campfires, and picnic tables. Modern restrooms with hot showers and a laundry, a self-serve dump station and a children's playground. Drinking water and vending machines are in the shelter building and picnic area, a short walk away in the park.

Three Forest View cabins, each with two rooms sleeping six on a double bed and two sets of bunks, with heat, air conditioning, lights and outlets, an outside water spigot and a picnic area with a firepit. The cabins are ADA accessible.

Firewood, bagged ice and bait are sold on site.
