About Nightmare at Gravity Hill
Nightmare at Gravity Hill is an outdoor haunted walk-through at Cicconi Farms on Farmingdale Road in Jackson, open on weekend nights from mid-September through Halloween. You go through it on foot: more than a dozen scenes spread over 5 acres, about 35 minutes of haunted trail through the abandoned Ghost Town of Gravity Hill, its Graveyard and its Haunted Fields, with a big cast of ghouls, zombies, creepy clowns and other creatures of the night.
The story comes from the farm itself. Gravity Hill is a spot on the farm where cars seem to be pulled uphill against gravity, a local oddity that has been featured in Weird NJ and in plenty of YouTube videos, and the haunt builds its curse around it.
This one is meant to be scary. The operator says it is not recommended for young children, pregnant women or anyone with heart problems or other health issues, and no one under 14 is admitted without a parent or legal guardian. It is not a hayride, so there is no wagon to hide in. T-shirts and refreshments are sold on site.
