About Snyders Farm

Snyder's Farm is a seasonal family farm on South Middlebush Road in Somerset, in Franklin Township, on 80 acres of mostly preserved farmland. The Snyder brothers purchased the property at 586 South Middlebush Road in August of 2010 and have been farming the land ever since.

Pick your own is the heart of it. The fields hold more than 2,800 blueberry bushes, first opened to the public for picking in June 2014; the response from the community was so great that pick your own became an annual event, and strawberries joined the blueberries in 2015; the farm also lists raspberry and blackberry seasons and pick-your-own sunflowers. Its seasonal produce changes from year to year, but the staples are Jersey tomatoes and sweet white corn picked daily, along with the farm's pesticide-free blueberries and strawberries and its special line of jams, salsas and BBQ sauce. There is a roadside stand, and the farm also offers curbside pick-up and CSA boxes.

If you love the fall, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends, you have to come to the Fall Festival. It is the Snyder brothers' favorite time of year; the festival is a lot of work, but they truly put their heart into it so everyone who visits has a day full of fun and great memories. October weekends bring a wagon ride to the event field, a corn maze, a hay bale maze and dozens of activities, with pumpkins and sunflowers to pick.

Since the seasons depend on the crops, check the farm's website for what is available before you go, and always call first: the farm updates its phone message when crops run low or weather closes it.

Fall Festival

For 2026 the Fall Festival runs weekends only, October 3 to 25, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Last entry and the last wagon ride to the event field are at 4:30 PM, and the festival is not open on Columbus Day.

A tractor-pulled wagon carries you up to the event field; if you would rather walk, tell the admission team when you pay and they will give you a walking pass. Admission covers the corn maze, the hay bale maze and hay bale activity centers, a big slide, swings and tire swings, a tire pyramid, climbing tunnels, a hamster wheel, a wooden train and wooden boat, the bubble barn, animal races, rubber duck races, corn hole and plenty of photo spots. The Jumbo Jumper, the pumpkin and bottle cannons, pumpkin picking and pick-your-own sunflowers cost extra.

Come hungry for fall comfort food: apple cider, cider donuts and food trucks.

Admission & Guidelines

For 2026, Fall Festival admission is $25 a person, children under 2 are free, and seniors and military (with military ID) get a discount. Tickets are not sold in advance; you pay at entry. For 2026 pick-your-own sunflowers are $2 a flower, with a $10 cash deposit for cutting shears that goes toward your purchase, and pumpkins are paid for as you pick. Festival admission is required for pick-your-own pumpkins and sunflowers.

The farm does not take credit cards or cash apps, but ATMs are on site. There is no re-entry, and no refunds once admission is paid. No large bags, no outside food or drinks and no smoking. Only service dogs are allowed; pets and emotional support animals are not. Strollers and wagons can ride the wagon. Watch your footing: there are rocks, sticks, holes and uneven ground.

Snyder's Farm is open weekends only when crops are in season, and the days depend on the crops, so check the farm's U-Pick and events pages before you plan a visit, and call ahead: the phone message is updated when crop availability is low or the farm is closed for weather.

The Fall Festival runs on October weekends from 11 AM to 6 PM, with last entry and the last wagon ride at 4:30 PM; for 2026, October 3 to 25. It depends on the weather, so check the phone message, social media or the website for closures or delayed openings.
