About Wading Pines Camping Resort
Wading Pines is a family campground in the heart of the New Jersey Pinelands, with 284 wooded campsites and 16 rustic cabins. Sites range from full hookup back-ins to water and electric sites in the woods, in the field, and along the river, and a few are pull-through. A group area called The Grove holds up to 40 people.
The Wading River runs along the property, so the paddling is right here. The campground runs canoe and kayak trips that include the boats, paddles, life jackets and a ride back, and there is a sandy beach, a fishing pond, and a pool for the hot days. On land there is a playground, a giant jumping pillow, sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, shuffleboard and gaga ball, plus a recreation hall and game room for rainy days.
The camp store sells snacks, drinks, ice, firewood and camping basics, and you can refill propane on site. Bathhouses have hot showers, and there are laundry facilities and an RV dump station. Pets are welcome, and there is a fenced dog park.
Most weekends from opening weekend through late fall bring something going on: live music, crafts, painted rock hunts, and holiday and themed weekends. You are also a short drive from Wharton State Forest, historic Batsto Village and Bass River State Forest, so it works well as a base for exploring the Pinelands.

Admission & Guidelines
Rates depend on the site type, hookup level, season and dates. Check the rates page or the reservation page on the campground website for current prices. Nightly rates include two adults; each additional adult is $10 a night, and a site holds a maximum of 6 people. Children 11 and under camp free. Cabins are booked by the night.
Active military, veterans and first responders get 10 percent off with a valid ID. A midweek package takes 10 percent off Sunday through Thursday stays and adds a free pizza. Seasonal sites need a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and a $500 security deposit.
Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Generators and space heaters are not allowed. Children must be back on site by 10:00 PM, and kids under 16 need an adult at the pool. Management recommends that children be at least 5 years old for river activities. Bringing your own golf cart costs $15 a night after an inspection and proof of insurance, or you can rent one, and drivers must be 18 or older with a valid license.
