About Tatum Park

Tatum Park has 366 acres of rolling hills, open fields and bird-filled woods, as well as two Activity Centers, a playground and miles of scenic trails, for area residents to enjoy. The park is named for the Tatum family, who donated 73 acres of property to the county in 1973. Our Personal Take...

We have visited the park a few times and simply love it. The trails are nice, and well maintained. And they have many great programs throughout the year. We definitely recommend heading there.

Trail & Path Info

There are many miles of trails within the park. Many are flat and rather easy that follow open fields. A few are in the woods and offer a bit more of a challenge. But that is in the eye of the person visiting. Though we got our heart rate up hiking the park, a friend said they wouldn't consider it hiking. To each his own :) Either way, the trails are very fun.

Trip Ideas

We also try to visit Deep Cut Gardens before (or after) our walk in Tatum.

Parking

There are 2 main parking lots within the park...

You will find one off Red Hill Rd, just across the street from Deep Cut Gardens. This lot offers access to the trails, a nature center, bathrooms, and a playground.

The second area is off Holland Road. There is a large nature center, ample parking, and access to all the trails. This is also where many people park when taking horses out for a ride.
