About Secor Farms
Secor Farms is a family farm on Airmont Avenue in Mahwah, and in the fall it is a hayride destination. The hayride winds past the farm pond, willow trees and fall decorations to a field where you pick your own pumpkin, explore two small corn mazes, and stop at the picture spots, including a "How Tall This Fall" height cutout and other face cutouts. Younger children get a hay maze, and the petting zoo has goats and bunnies. The corn mazes sit in the field at the end of the hayride, so you have to take the hayride to reach them.
The farm market stocks New York State apples, fresh-pressed apple cider, homemade apple cider donuts, candy apples and locally grown produce. In the fall it also sells pumpkins, gourds, jack-be-little pumpkins, corn stalks, Halloween decorations and hundreds of mums.
Fall is one of four seasons here. The farm opens in the spring, right before Easter, with palm crosses, pansies, tulips and hyacinths, and its greenhouses hold what the farm calls the largest selection of bedding plants in Bergen County. The market fills with locally grown produce by the Fourth of July, and in December it sells pre-cut Christmas trees, wreaths, grave blankets and poinsettias, with Santa stopping by for pictures in his workshop.

Programs / Education
Fall field trips and group hayrides run Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM, for groups of 20 or more. The trip includes the hayride to the pumpkin patch, a pumpkin, the corn maze, the hay maze and the petting zoo. Bookings are made online through the farm's site.
Special / Seasonal Events
Fall is the main event. Public hayrides to the pumpkin patch and corn mazes run from mid-September through the end of October. Weekdays are a shorter, quieter visit, with a hayride ticket for the afternoon, and weekends use a general admission ticket that covers every fall activity. Field trips and group hayrides run on weekday mornings.
Tips and Tricks
If you want a quieter visit, go on a weekday afternoon, when the hayride and both corn mazes are included and the petting zoo is free. Weekends need a ticket bought online ahead of time. The corn mazes are only reachable by hayride, so plan the visit around the hayride, not around walking in.
Admission & Guidelines
On weekends, a general admission ticket is required for every fall activity, including the petting zoo and the pumpkin patch. It covers the hayride, pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay maze and petting zoo, and you do not need any other ticket. Weekend tickets must be bought online in advance, and the farm says walk-in tickets are not guaranteed.
On weekdays, a hayride ticket covers the hayride to the pumpkin patch and both small corn mazes. For 2026, the front pumpkin patch and petting zoo are free on weekdays, except holidays.
A pumpkin is not included with a weekday or weekend ticket. For 2026, pumpkins are weighed at the outdoor registers at 75 cents per pound. Group hayrides for 20 or more people on weekdays include the hayride to the u-pick pumpkin patch, a pumpkin and an apple, and are booked online. The farm no longer rents private party rooms.
Hours / Season of Operation
The farm is open every day from mid-March through the end of October, 9 AM to 5:30 PM, and again every day in December, 9 AM to 5:30 PM. It closes for the winter from January to mid-March, and the farm's About page lists November as closed. Hours are subject to change, so the farm asks you to call 201-529-2595.
Fall hayrides run from mid-September through the end of October. Weekday hayrides go Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 4:30 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays the fall activities run 9:30 AM to 4 PM. Field trips and group hayrides run Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM.
Directions
From Route 17 North, take the Airmont Avenue exit, just after Chili's, and go about 2 miles north. The farm is on the right. From Interstate 287, take Exit 14B, go past Route 59 and continue onto Airmont Avenue. The farm is on the left, across from the baseball fields, about 2 miles up Airmont Avenue.
