About Lentini Farms
Lentini Farms is a big family farm on Route 94 at the south end of Newton, and in the fall it opens its home fields for a weekend farm festival. On weekends in September and October you can wander a 7-acre corn maze, take a scenic hayride around the farm, pick your own pumpkins in the u-pick field, and cut your own wildflowers and sunflowers in a 3-acre flower field that is new for 2026, with zinnias, cosmos, snapdragons, asters, celosia and fresh herbs. Live bands play, food trucks and vendors set up, and the farm adds special nights such as classic car shows and fireworks.
On Friday and Saturday nights in October the haunted hayride takes over after dark. The farm says plainly that it is intended to be a scary experience. It sells a kids' package for ages 4 to 12 and gives no minimum age, so judge it by your own kids.
The rest of the year this is a working produce farm. The Lentini family farms more than 1,000 acres of produce and grain corn, and the roadside farm stand at this main location is open from May until October. The farm is known for its Jersey Fresh tomatoes and sweet corn picked daily, and the stands also carry seasonal fruit and vegetables, pies, jams and jellies, local honey, salsa, pumpkins and corn stalks. The family runs several other stands around Sussex County, including the Culvers Lake stand in Branchville and a stand near Sussex County Community College in Newton.

A Brief History
In 1971 Anthony V. Lentini Jr. started selling watermelon on the side of Route 206. He bought his first tractor and began wholesaling sweet corn, and with his wife, Heidi, and their children he expanded into retail farm stands and became one of the pioneers of agritourism in Sussex County. The family has owned and run Lentini Farms since 1981. Today it farms more than 1,000 acres and, as a Good Agricultural Practices certified company, also sells wholesale to supermarkets, restaurants and wholesale markets in New York City and Philadelphia.
Special / Seasonal Events
Lentini Farms runs two festivals each fall, weekends only, Friday through Sunday. The Harvest Festival comes first, in September, and Fall Fest follows through October. General admission covers the farm area, the scenic hayride until dusk, the 7-acre corn maze, the wildflower field, and the live bands and vendors. The u-pick pumpkin field is open on festival weekends, with its own hours.
For 2026, Fall Fest runs October 2 through October 25, and the haunted hayrides run Friday and Saturday nights from October 2 through October 24, 7 to 10 PM, weather permitting. The 2026 calendar also has classic car shows on Friday, October 2 (opening night of the haunted hayrides) and Friday, October 9, fireworks on Saturday, October 10 at 8 PM, and a cornhole event on Saturday, October 17 at 3 PM. The farm posts each weekend's food trucks and vendors on its Facebook and Instagram pages.
Tips and Tricks
If you buy the Nighttime Terror Package, come before 7 PM: the scenic hayride, corn maze and the rest of the daytime festival are included, and the scenic hayride stops at dusk. Check the farm's Facebook or Instagram before you go to see which food trucks and bands are scheduled that weekend.
Admission & Guidelines
Everyone needs general admission to come into the festival, and every guest checks in at the gate for a wristband. For 2026, general admission is $10 for adults and $8 for kids ages 4 to 12, and children 3 and under are free. The haunted hayride is sold as the Nighttime Terror Package, which bundles festival admission with one haunted hayride: for 2026, $30 for adults and $26 for kids 4 to 12. There are no reservations for the haunted hayride, and each ticket is good for one ride on the date chosen. Tickets are sold online ahead through the farm's site.
Anyone 16 and under must stay with an adult 18 or older the whole time, corn maze included, and drop-offs are not allowed. Pets are not allowed on the farm grounds during the festival, except service animals, because of food safety rules. Outside food is not permitted, since the farm has agreements with its food truck vendors.
Hours / Season of Operation
The roadside farm stand at 251 High Street is open from May until October. The festival fields are open on weekends only, Friday through Sunday, from mid-September through late October: Fridays 4 to 10 PM, Saturdays 11 AM to 10 PM and Sundays 11 AM to 4 PM. Scenic hayrides stop at dusk, and last entry to the farm is 30 minutes before closing.
The u-pick pumpkin field keeps shorter hours than the festival: Fridays 4 to 8 PM, Saturdays noon to 7 PM and Sundays noon to 4 PM. It is closed Monday through Thursday, when the farm suggests buying pumpkins at one of its farm stands instead. The haunted hayride runs Friday and Saturday nights in October, 7 to 10 PM, weather permitting.
