About Etsch Farms

Etsch Farms is a fourth-generation family farm on Buckelew Avenue in Monroe Township. The Etsch family has farmed here since 1931, starting as a subsistence farm in the 1930s, and today grows hay, straw and grain alongside the fall corn maze and the Bakery Barn.

Every fall the farm cuts a new themed design into an 8-acre corn maze. The 2026 theme is Camping in the Corn, with a tent, canoe, campfire, camper and teepee in the paths, and this year there is a new GPS interactive maze map: open it in your phone's web browser to see where you are in the maze, play games along the way and see how close you are to the way out.

A pay-one-price wristband covers the maze, a hayride and a ride on the corn train. There is also pumpkin picking, giant bubbles and games for all ages. The Bakery Barn sells warm apple cider donuts, homemade pies and hot chocolate, and the Barn Shop carries fall decorations, pumpkin carving kits, and jams, mustards, pickles and preserves to sample and take home.

Programs / Education

Fall school and field trips run on weekdays. Each visit includes a hayride, entry to the corn maze and a walk to the pumpkin patch where every student picks a sugar pumpkin; a corn train ride can be added for an extra fee. The field trip agreement form is on the farm's Events page. The farm also runs a Summer Farm Camp, with registration opening in the spring.

Special / Seasonal Events

Flashlight Night opens the corn maze after dark for one fall evening. For 2026 it was held Saturday, September 26, from 6 to 10 PM, with the last ticket sold at 9.

Tips and Tricks

Buy tickets for your date ahead of time on the farm's Corn Maze page. Bring a charged phone to use the GPS maze map. No pets or emotional support animals are allowed. From the New Jersey Turnpike, Exit 8A is about 5 miles away: take Forsgate Drive (CR 612) to the end, turn right onto Buckelew Avenue (CR 522), and the farm is 3.5 miles down on the left.

Admission & Guidelines

For 2026 the pay-one-price wristband is $20 for ages 3 and up, tax included, and free for ages 2 and under. It covers the corn maze, the hayride and the corn train. Military, police, fire and EMS personnel get 10% off their own wristband with ID. Tickets are sold for a date through the farm's Corn Maze page, with a $2 online fee per paid ticket, and there are no refunds or exchanges.

Hours / Season of Operation

The corn maze, the Bakery Barn and the fall activities are open on Saturdays and Sundays, 12 noon to 6 PM, from mid-September through October. For 2026 the season runs from Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, October 25, and the farm's ticket calendar also opens on Columbus Day, Monday, October 12.

The working farm's office, which sells hay, straw and grain, keeps separate hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM, closed 12 to 1 for lunch, and Saturday 8:30 AM to 12 noon.

Specials & Coupons

The Bakery Barn takes pie orders for fundraisers: groups that sell 20 or more Thanksgiving pies raise money for their cause. Call 732-794-6785 to set one up.
