Brigantine is a barrier island town north of Atlantic City. The Absecon Wildlife Management Area covers about 3,600 acres of marsh, good for birdwatching, especially shorebirds, and saltwater fishing, and the Marine Mammal Stranding Center rescues seals, dolphins and sea turtles.
