This weeks Featured Places is Allaire State Park. We won't be covering Allaire Village since that is a great place on it's own. Instead, we want to mention that there is a lot more to this park. A great single site campground, a group campground area, and miles and miles of multi-use trails await you within the park.

Allaire State Park

The park itself spans Farmingdale, Howell and Wall Twp. It is run by the state, but most of the trails within the park are maintained by JORBA.

Allaire Campground

The single site campground is found just a bit down the road from the village entrance. it contains many shaded sites, cabins, yurts, bathrooms, playgrounds, and quick access to trails. The rates are great, the facilities are clean, and you'll have a great night sleep under the stars :)

Allaire Group Campground

There are multiple, very large group sites within the park. To get to the group campground you will leave the village, turning right. Heading all the way to Hospital road, turning right on it. Follow that to the stop, making a left. The group campground entrance is a mile or so up on the left. Once there you will find picnic tables on each site, a bathroom, and great access to the trails in Allaire.

Trails

The park can be broken up into two primary sections divided by the Manasquan River. Each has somewhat specific trail uses..
