Soccer & softball complex. Park will include 5 softball fields, 8 soccer fields and 2 multi-purpose fields, 3 play structures (ages 5 12), several picnic areas with tables and benches, and a simple but nice crushed rock walking/biking path..

There are no designated trails or walking paths in this location. Would be nice if there was for both folks using the facility and locals looking for a place to walk.

Things to See & Do

The picnic areas and playground are very nice in this park. Certainly worth a trip even if not there for a game.

Special / Seasonal Events

Many local soccor / baseball leagues use these fields throughout the year. We do not have any specific information on these groups, but you might be able to search google or even contact the Howell rec department for details.

Admission & Guidelines

No admission at this location. But using a field for an organized event willl require a permit/reservation provided through Howell Twp.

Parking

There is ample parking throughout the park. Some lots are paved. Some are dirt/crushed rock. The township does a good job keeping these all in order.

Nearby Places

A few hundred feet up Maxim Rd, you will find the entrance to Bear Swamp Natural Area. This mainly forested location offers walking/jogging paths through the Bear Swamp of NJ. Just an FYI--This location is usually sans bear.

Just a few mile drive west, you will find the jewel of Monmouth County...the Manasquan Reservoir. This stunning location offers everything from a 5+ mile perimeter trail to fishing and boating opportunities. TheManasquan Reservoir Environmental Center is also located here, and is certainly a great place to visit on a hot summer day.

A few miles east is Allaire State Park. With many miles of biking and hiking trails, along with the Historic Allaire Village, you will have hours of fun with the whole family. Or leave them at the soccer field as you go explore on your own. Your choice.
