Clinton is a river town on the South Branch of the Raritan, with the 4-story Red Mill Museum Village. Spruce Run Recreation Area has a reservoir with camping, picnic areas and the Highlands Trail, and the Union Furnace Preserve covers 170 wooded acres beside the reservoir.
