A Summer Walk Through FREC (2015)

We visit theForest Resource Education Center in Jackson, NJ for the first timethis past winter. Now that summer is here, we headed back! This trip we walked the same route as our previous visit, but found we could not follow the original route. Many of the trails near the main interpretive center were grown up with grass. Though not tall, these grassy areas are what we call "tick motels", and should be avoided if possible. But even with a few diversions, we walked about 2.7 miles, and had a great time exploring :)
