A few years back, we found a friendly #hiking group on Meetup hosting a hike at Spruce Run. Since we have never done anything beyond camping there, we tagged along!
Once we got into the park, we started at the main parking lot. We followed a few trails through the woods north of the reservoir, eventually following Van Syckles Rd back to our cars.
Though I would not say this was a hike I think everyone should drive hours to do, it was a lovely area of the park we had never explored before.
