There were live demonstrations, historic artifacts, actual descendants of the original family living in the farm, and much more. We found the level of hospitality, historical knowledge, and overall professionalism to be top notch.

Read moreWe have only visited Hacklebarney State Park one time since finding it a few years ago, and we can not wait to get back. The primary trails are well kept, somewhat challenging, but are not so hard that you will be hurting. The streams, water falls, and the Black River are amazing for fishing, sightseeing, and just enjoying the sounds of rushing water. You will also find a few playgrounds for the little ones to work off the rest of their energy. It is just a great park!
Read moreSourland Mountain Preserve is a great place for a lot of activities. Personally, we hike here once a year, usually in the fall. The trails are challenging for sure. Steep-ish hills, lots of rocks to step around, and simply great views. The mountain biking here is great. Many groups do group rides here to help show people around. Keep an eye out on the JORBA site for these rides.

At first we were a little apprehensive of this change. But as we discussed some improvements/changes directly with the new management, we knew they were going to be a great change.
