Flatwater Paddle Co. (F/K/A Greenwood Lake Paddleboards) specializes in rentals, sales, and service of paddleboards and kayaks. Rentals come with basic verbal instruction and are for all levels of skill. Private/Group lessons are available from one of our certified instructors by appointment. They also deliver to private residences and public waterways--great for lakefront parties or a day exploring the beautiful landscapes the highlands have to offer.

Flatwater Paddle Co. is located in Long Pond Ironworks State Park, launching their equipment onto the Monksville Reservoir. Beyond water recreation, Long Pond also offers hiking, historical tours, and the Long Pond Ironworks Museum.

A Brief History

Flatwater Paddle Co. in early 2013 asGreenwood Lake Paddleboards, with one location off Greenwood lake (NJ). A few years later they found their permanent home on Monksville Reservoir! 2019 brought in a new chapter for the company... a new name and new locations! Flatwater Paddle Co. can now be found in 3 locations around NJ...

Programs / Education

Yoga classes are offered three mornings per week--Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. They also offer group and private paddleboard lessons for those looking to gain confidence or improve their skill. Flatwater Paddle Co. sells & repairs new and used paddleboards and kayaks. They deliver to private residences as well as other lakes and rivers in the region.

Trip Ideas

We have had visitors come straight off the Appalachian Trail and jump in a kayak. We would recommend spending a morning hiking one of the numerous trails in West Milford, and then coming to us to rent a paddleboard. We'll point out some good spots to paddle out to, drop your anchor and swim. After your time on the water, we recommend having dinner next door to us at Latitude 41, which has outside seating and delicious food. And finally, to end the day, we recommend driving up to Bellvale Farms Creamery to eat ice cream and watch the sunset.
