NJ Audubon naturalists lead a winter afternoon at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, where ducks mass on the impoundments and raptors hunt the marsh, then move on to Mott's Creek, a regular spot for wintering Short-eared Owls at dusk.
Up to 1.5 miles of mostly level walking. Register ahead, and note the refuge charges a $4 vehicle pass (federal passes and the Duck Stamp also work).
