A day trip to Barnegat Lighthouse State Park for winter sea ducks, led by NJ Audubon and All Things Birds naturalists. Harlequin Ducks and Purple Sandpipers on the long stone jetty by the inlet are the stars, with a possible stop for Short-eared Owls at nearby marshes late in the day.
Expect up to 1.5 miles on the jetty or the beach. Dress in layers, bring rain gear, and register ahead.
