After dark, Anne Ellen Farms in Manalapan turns into a walk-through Christmas village: a hayride carries you through the tree fields, then a winding path through the woods passes lit houses, animated scenes and little shops, with Santa, food and hot drinks along the way. New this year is the Village Greene, with mini golf, a giant snow globe, a fire pit and a lighted maze.
The Village is open on select nights from November 6 through December 30, from 5 PM, and is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Tickets are sold online only, for a set night and time, and the busiest nights cost a little more. Paths can be muddy, so dress warm and wear boots.
